Shop settings

Decide which categories your customers see in the shop, what order they appear in, the picture each one uses, and what you call your shop products.

Your shop is more than a list of products. The order the categories appear in, the pictures next to them, and the words you use all shape what a customer notices first. Settings → Shop is where you set all of that.

The page has three tabs: Categories, Images, and Terminology.

🗂️ Categories

The Categories tab lists the six shop categories your venue can sell:

  • Memberships
  • Shop products, or Pro Shop if that is the wording you chose
  • Credit top-ups
  • Gift cards
  • Session cards
  • Recurring reservations

The number next to a category is how many products it currently has for sale. It is a quick way to spot a category you have switched on but never filled.

Put your best category first

Drag a row by any part of it to move it up or down. The order you set here is the order customers see, both in the Thril app and on the web: the filter chips at the top of the shop tab and the sections below them both follow it.

Lead with what you want people to buy. A venue pushing a new season pass puts Memberships at the top. A venue that mostly sells court time puts Recurring reservations first.

Hide a category you do not sell

Each row has a Visible checkbox. Clear it and the category is left out of the shop completely: it does not appear as a filter, it does not appear as a section, and its products cannot be bought.

A hidden row stays in the list and dims, so you can always switch it back on. Every category is visible by default.

Hiding a category does not delete or archive its products. They stay exactly as you left them and come back the moment you make the category visible again.

Each category is controlled on its own, so you can sell credit top-ups while keeping gift cards out of the shop, or the other way round.

When you are happy with the order and the checkboxes, select Save changes. A notice appears while you have unsaved changes, so you cannot lose your work by mistake.

🖼️ Images

The Images tab gives each category its own picture in the customer-facing shop. Categories with a picture stand out, and customers find the type of product they came for faster.

Upload one image per category. For the best result use a 1:1 (square) image at 600 × 600 pixels or larger. Thril warns you if an image is too small or looks blurry.

You can replace an image at any time, or remove it and go back to Thril's default artwork for that category. Select Save changes when you are done, or Reset changes to undo everything since your last save.

For the images on individual products, see Product images.

🏷️ Terminology

Some venues call their sellable goods "Shop products". Others, above all golf and racket clubs, call the same thing a "Pro Shop". The Terminology tab lets you pick which one your customers see.

Under Name for your shop products, choose either:

  • Shop products (default)
  • Pro Shop

The choice affects titles and headings only, such as the shop tab your customers see and the category name in the shop. Longer descriptions always use the general wording.

Select Save changes to apply it. The new wording appears everywhere at once, including your own Categories tab.

Where this fits

Shop settings control the shape of the shop. The products inside it are managed elsewhere:
