Emails

Create, schedule, and send marketing or transactional emails to your customers directly from Thril, with delivery tracking and per-email statistics.

The emails tool lets you compose and send messages to customers without leaving Thril. You can target everyone, a specific customer list, or a hand-picked set of contacts — and choose between marketing and transactional email types.

Find it under Marketing → Emails in the sidebar.

Creating a new email

Click Create email to open the step-by-step editor.

1. Basic details

  • Internal email name — used to identify the email in your list. Not visible to customers.
  • Additional details — optional internal note.
  • Email template — start from scratch or copy an existing email as a starting point.

2. Content

Write the email body using the rich text editor. Supports formatting, links, and bullet points. The venue footer is shown below the editor as a preview — it will be included automatically in all marketing emails.

3. Title and meta

  • Email subject — the subject line recipients see in their inbox.
  • Email preview — short preview text shown next to the subject in email clients (max 100 characters).
  • Reply-to address — where replies from customers will go. This does not change the sender address.
  • Email footer — auto-generated from your venue info. Mandatory for marketing emails; shown here as a read-only preview.

4. Sending options

  • Email type — choose Marketing or Transactional.
    • Marketing emails are governed by GDPR consent rules and will only be sent to recipients who have opted in.
    • Transactional emails bypass consent requirements and should only be used for service-related messages.
  • Send to:
    • All customers — when selected, you can choose to include customers from the current venue only or company-wide (all venues in your company)
    • Select recipients — pick specific customer lists or individual contacts
  • Don't send email to these recipients — exclude specific contacts even if they are in the included recipients list.
  • Estimated recipients — a live count of how many people will receive the email based on your current selections.
  • Schedule — send immediately or pick a date and time.

5. Preview

Review the fully rendered email before sending. The preview step shows the exact recipient count, scheduled send time, subject, and email body. From here you can:

  • Send a test email to yourself
  • Save as draft to finish later
  • Send now (or confirm the scheduled send)

Viewing sent emails

Click any email in the list to see:

  • Full list of recipients with delivery status per person
  • Email addresses and phone numbers

Email statistics

Each sent email includes engagement metrics:

  • Delivered — successfully delivered to recipients' inboxes
  • Bounced — failed deliveries
  • Unique views — how many recipients opened the email
  • Click-through rate — percentage who clicked a link
  • Unsubscribe rate — percentage who unsubscribed

Stats update as delivery and engagement data comes in.

Tips

  • Marketing emails require GDPR consent — only opted-in customers will receive them regardless of what recipient list you choose.
  • Always send a test email before sending to a large list.
  • Use the estimated recipients counter to sanity-check your targeting before sending.
  • Schedule campaigns during times when your customers are most active.
