# QT Systems (/en/businesses/integrations/qt-systems)

QT Systems is Thril’s partner for lighting and access control. The integration generates reservation-specific access codes for electronic lock systems and manages lighting in sync with your venue’s calendar. You can also configure resource-specific settings under each resource’s settings.

## Prerequisites [#prerequisites]

You need **QT Systems hardware configured at your venue** and a valid **Access token** from a QT Systems representative or via [Thril support](mailto:support@thril.fi).

<Callout type="warn">
  If your QT system is connected to another booking system, contact QT Systems
  or [Thril support](mailto:support@thril.fi) before enabling the integration.
</Callout>

## To enable [#to-enable]

1. Open **Settings → System → Integrations → QT Systems**
2. Enter the **Access token** provided by QT Systems or Thril support
3. Set the door access and lighting times and fallback instructions (see below)
4. Set **Status** to **Active**
5. Select **Save changes**
6. Optionally check the connection under **Actions → Test connection**

## Configuration options [#configuration-options]

* **Door access before the reservation** and **Door access after the reservation:** how many minutes before the reservation starts and after it ends customers can open the door
* **Lights on before the reservation** and **Lights on after the reservation:** how many minutes before the reservation starts the lights turn on, and how long they stay on after it ends
* **Use one shared access code per recurring series:** turn this on to give every reservation in a recurring series the same access code. The customer keeps one code for the whole series instead of a new code for each reservation. Codes for single reservations stay unique.
* **Fallback instructions:** a message shown to customers if Thril detects an issue with QT Systems (for example, *“If your access code doesn’t work, you can use our backup code 9999#.”*). Enable **Always show fallback instructions** to display it to all customers regardless of QT Systems’ status. This is useful during a known outage. You can also set resource-specific fallback instructions under each resource’s settings.

## Keeping a door open with a resource [#keeping-a-door-open-with-a-resource]

To keep a door open for a set time, for example during a tournament or opening hours, make the door a resource of its own. Thril sends each reservation on it to QT Systems like any other booking.

1. Ask QT Systems for an object for the door, set up to keep the door open for the length of a booking. How the object behaves is configured on QT Systems' side.
2. In Thril, create a resource, for example "Door". Leave **Sport type** empty and turn **Allow consumer booking** off, so customers cannot book it.
3. In the resource's settings, under **QT Systems**, choose the door's object as **Assigned QT Systems object** and save.
4. Book the resource for the times the door should be open. A recurring reservation works too.

The **Door access before the reservation** and **Door access after the reservation** settings apply to these bookings too.

When you save the resource, Thril reads from the object whether its doors have readers. If they do, each reservation on the resource gets an access code. If not, the reservations get no code. If readers are added in QT Systems later, save the resource again.

## Syncing existing reservations [#syncing-existing-reservations]

After enabling the integration, select **Actions → Sync future reservations** to push upcoming reservations to QT Systems. This is helpful when you first connect the integration so existing bookings get access codes. The action is available once the integration is active.

## Delete the integration [#delete-the-integration]

Select **Delete integration** to remove the QT Systems settings from your venue. Thril also removes the QT Systems settings of each resource and membership. You can set up the integration again later.

You can't delete the integration while upcoming reservations have an access code in QT Systems or memberships give access through it, because Thril needs the QT Systems credentials to remove those codes. Remove the integration from those memberships, and delete the integration once the reservations have ended. Set **Status** to **Inactive** in the meantime to stop new codes.

## Troubleshooting [#troubleshooting]

* Use **Actions → Test connection** to fetch your current QT Systems configuration. Thril support may ask you for this information to help with troubleshooting.
* Inactivating the integration stops **new** reservations from syncing to QT Systems. Reservations already synced are not affected and must be cleaned up manually within QT Systems.
* For help configuring your QT Systems hardware or software outside of Thril, contact your QT Systems contact person. For help with the integration in Thril, contact [Thril support](mailto:support@thril.fi).
